Chokoladen er baseret på den sjældne Beniano cacaobønne, der stammer fra Beni floden, som munder ud i Bolivias Amazonflod.
Smagsmæssigt har chokoladen noter af honning, abrikos og jasmin te.
Om Beni Amazon
Udsprunget af savanne, skove og vandveje, er Beni en skovøgruppe, som bliver kaldt ‘chocolatales’ – chokoladeøerne. Området er det eneste sted, hvor der gror 100% vild cacao. De sidste 400 arter af den blå-halsede Macaw papegøje spiller en central rolle for cacaoen, da de er kurerer og bærer frøene fra ø til ø. Selve cacaobønnerne er noget mindre end de mere almindelige cacao sorter, men udmærker sig ved at være usædvanligt smagfulde.
Siden 2010, har Original Beans promoveret Beniano chokoladen og dens bevarelse. Høsten af den vilde cacao sikrer, at de indfødte får en indkomst og harmonerer med den traditionelle brug af jorden. Original Beans’ programmet ’One bar: One tree’ i Beni området hjælper med at bevare dette naturlige eventyrland og dets vilde beboere.

Hairdresser Gun-Britt started training at PWR.8 Studio and has since invested in the company. Gun-Britt is 74 years old and works every day in her hair salon with her dedicated team. Gun-Britt stays active daily, and you will often meet her in workout clothes in our studios, with sweat on her forehead.
