Striking in every sense - these matchboxes are filled with 125 matchsticks ready to spark a little joy. Designed to add character to coffee tables, mantelpieces, and gift drawers, each box is a blend of function and flair.
Meet the artists: Chase & Wonder was founded in 2010 by husband-and-wife duo David and Faye Aspinall. David studied Graphic Design at Central Saint Martins, while Faye specialised in Women’s Fashion at the Royal College of Art. Together, they created a distinctive style-refined yet playful-blending Victorian grandeur with contemporary minimalism. Their monochromatic, hand-illustrated designs, rich with classical motifs, evoke the charm of vintage curiosities.

- Product Care: These matches are made from natural products and may contain inherent structural flaws. Whilst Archivist take time to test the matches, we cannot reasonably test every single one, so strike the match gently (easy does it!) and away from you, over non-combustible surfaces.
- Sustainability: Wrapped in a compostable cello.

Archivist is run by husband and wife duo William and Sarah, but the last 20 years we have slowly welcomed some other brave souls into the mix. With guest appearances by our daughter Madeleine, and the very brave Katie (the first employee not to be a member of the family) to the newest addition at our letterpress printers. We all share the conviction that gift giving is a joy, and that the world is a bit brighter with a mix of beautiful things and a touch of William’s wit.
