"Focus" Aromatherapy Oil

Urtegaarden's Focus Aromatherapy Oil has been created for those who need mental sharpness and clarity in a busy everyday life. When mental fatigue, racing thoughts or a restless mind begin to take over, Focus helps you gather your thoughts, maintain perspective and improve concentration.

Focus is blended from carefully selected, pure essential oils and has a fresh, green and aromatic fragrance with distinctive notes of citrus, herbs, menthol and conifer.

Aromatherapy blends must never be applied to the skin undiluted or taken internally in their pure form. Always follow the recommended dilution and usage instructions.

How to use 

Aromatherapy is a natural wellbeing practice that uses essential oils to promote balance, relaxation and wellbeing through their fragrance. It has been practised for centuries and is now widely used both in everyday life and in therapeutic settings to support body and mind, depending on the properties of the oil and the method of application.

Focus can be used in the following ways:

Direct inhalation

• From the bottle: Open the bottle and hold it 2–5 cm below your nose. Take 2–3 slow, deep breaths. Replace the cap. Repeat as required.
• Steam inhalation: Add 1–5 drops of aromatherapy oil to a bowl and pour boiling water over it. Leave for one minute, then carefully lean over the bowl with a towel draped over your head and inhale the steam for as long as comfortable.

Indirect inhalation

• Oil burner: Fill the bowl of the oil burner with water. Add 5–20 drops of aromatherapy oil, depending on the size of the room and the desired fragrance intensity. Place a lit tealight underneath.
• Cotton pad or similar: Add 3–10 drops of aromatherapy oil to a cotton pad and place it in the room, for example on a bedside table.
• Handkerchief or tissue: Apply 1–3 drops and carry it with you in your pocket.

Sauna infusion

• Add 3–5 drops to a ladle of water. Slowly pour the water over the hot sauna stones. For a slower release of the fragrance, place ice cubes in a metal bowl on top of the stones.

Skin application

• Massage oil: Add up to 20 drops per 100 ml of carrier massage oil.
• Roll-on: Fill the bottle halfway with a carrier oil, such as jojoba oil. Add up to 5 drops of aromatherapy oil and shake well. Top up the bottle with carrier oil and shake again. Insert the roller ball and replace the cap. Apply to pulse points as required.

Safety Information

Danger: May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. May cause an allergic skin reaction. Causes serious eye irritation. Toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects.

If swallowed: Immediately call a POISON CENTRE or doctor. Do not induce vomiting. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. Avoid release into the environment. Collect spillage.
