The acclaimed photographer Petra Kleis uses her camera – along with a series of questions – to explore women’s lives from their forties and onwards, a stage she has entered herself with some concern about what lies ahead. She therefore set out to create “a bible of wise, cool women” who can tell her what to expect from the future. This unfolds through a wide range of unique and unconventional portraits of remarkable Danish women, who also share their reflections, advice, and experiences of growing older.
Among the women photographed are Renée Toft Simonsen, Jytte Abildstrøm, Sara Bro, Ghita Nørby, Lærke Bagger, Susse Wold, Özlem Saglanmak, Kirsten Lehfeldt, Toniah, Margrethe Vestager, Aka Høegh, Trine Dyrholm, Mathilde Kimer, Ulla Terkelsen, Stine Goya and Bodil Jørgensen.
One of the featured women is Gun-Britt, who not only appears in the book but is also our valued partner in PWR.8.
